Personality:
Travis displays crude and immature behavior while on the job. He seems to always be going for a punk look bases on his personal likes. He has been known to be brutal towards other assassins to the point of giving the graphic deaths without hesitation. He does, in fact, have a soft spot for women and will sometimes hesitate when killing them. This becomes apparent when he would not kill Holly Summers, who is the the sixth ranked assassin, and thus Holly killed herself saying that assassins needed to die when the lose and Travis felt ashamed for dishonoring her. Travis refuses to kill children even when they are assassins which is probably due to the fact the he suffered when he was a child himself. He generally has no issue with killing people, but he doesn't kill innocent people despite the fact that he won't go out of his way to prevent other people from killing innocent people.
Travis can act normal and intelligent in his everyday life, but usually save those moments when they count. He has the ability to be a playboy. When he has a job outside assassination, he shows that he is a hard worker and will complete it with efficiency. He is an otaku for the Japanese pop culture and a avid wrestling fan. He collects anime, manga, video games, posters, figurines, cards, and wrestling masks.
Travis has a huge sense of honor. He will show honor and respect to opponents he deems to be "true warriors," and he will allow some of them to live depending on the circumstances. He will sometimes express sorrow or pity to someone based on their emotions on or off the battle field.
He driven to prove to himself as the number one fighter of all time, and has the ability to be a quick leaner quick leaner which has saved his life a couple of times. Travis cherishes friendships and will take action should his friends even be threatened. He also show an even softer side to his pet cat, Jeane.

Genre Savvy: Travis is genre savvy enough to spot obvious traps, and see situations and is able to take the correct course. He
will always be prepared for any situation (usually by having his beam katana on hand all the time).

Third Person:
He clashed swords with Shinobu. The adrenaline was pumping, his palms are sweaty, and this brat thinks he killed her master. She's good even for a child. One small mistake and his life is over. If that happens he wouldn't become number one, he won't reach "paradise." No, he needs to stay alive, he needs to meet "her."

Wait! Could it be? This little shit is distracted by the glow of his beam katana. He has the opening he's been looking for. Like always he doesn't hold back, he puts all his stength into knocking away her katana, beacuse it's the only guarantee that he can knock that katana away. Besides she's young and acts like she has nothing to lose. It would be rude if he didn't return the gesture in kind. Success! Quick before she recovers, he needs to end this battle once and for all. He swings beam katana at her, not to kill but to disable.

The battle is now over, but wait she's asking him to kill her. Why? Ah, so it's her cheap honor. The brat has her head in the clouds. He refuses. He finds it wrong to kill children since that day that a boy watched his parents torn apart by hand by... "her." What? Master Jacobs she says, and she's the Master's daughter? He didn't kill him, he respected Mater Jacobs. If it weren't for the Master he wouldn't be alive today. That and the fact he never met the Master in person. He's dead, how sad. Now he won't ever meet the Master he admired so much. This leaves too much confusion. Why would she claim such an act on his behalf? Someone is fucking with him but why? Anyways that has to wait, he now need settle this matter first. The cold hard truth with nothing held back, because he sees the world in that very same way.

Background:
Age: 27
Race: Human
Living Status: Alive
Home: Santa Destroy, California in the United States of America.
Family:
Henry Cooldown (twin brother he didn't know about)
Jeane (half-sister he didn't know about)
Jeane (his pet Scottish Fold cat)
Jeane Christel (niece he never meets)
Job: Assassin

Travis has spent most of his life in the town of Santa Destroy where he can't be any happier to call his home. he is an otaku and a huge fan of wrestling. His favorite anime is the very popular Pure White Lover Bizarre Jelly. He studied wrestling Calgary, Alberta in Canada. He also loves the game, Pure White Giant Glastonbury. Travis' first beam katana is the Blood Berry, which he won in a online auction. The Blood Berry, when activated, the blade is extracted along the frame, which extends out, the receiver is header with a blade attachment, which allow for stabbing, and has a guide bar. The Blood Berry's frame is black and its blade is blue. Travis had a traumatic childhood after seeing his parents killed before his eyes. The killer turns out to be his half-sister, Jeane. Travis never know her as his relative until the end of the first game. Travis, instead, has a love and hate view of Jeane. On one hand you have the girl he fell in love with at first sight, and on the other hand you have the same girl that destroyed his happy life. Travis has such a profound love for Jeane that he named his kitten after her. Travis also has a profound hatred of Jeane that he vowed that he would kill her by all means.

Travis has never knew, prior to meeting him in the game, Henry Cooldown as his brother. Travis and Henry have a begrudging respect for each other. Henry, for the most part, seem to have a normal life before becoming a assassin which would make him a polar opposite from Travis while still attaining certain similar personality traits that Travis has. Travis does fight Henry but he doesn't seem to want to outright kill and vice-versa for Henry, which is proven in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle by having Henry aligning himself with Travis. Henry and Travis and both do fight each other some after the fight with Jeane right after Henry saves Travis by killing Ermen Palmer, who forgo the UAA regulations about setting up matches matches and tried to cowardly kill Travis while he was on the toilet. At the end of their fight they run off toward the sunset with beam katanas clashed together before breaking off and going for one final swing at each other. It is likely possible that they were too evenly matched for each other and called it a draw.

Travis has an interesting relationship with Shinobu. She is the eighth ranked assassin and became an assassin in order to kill Travis. Her real name is Scarlet Jacobs, and she believes that Travis killed her father, Master Jacobs. Travis claims that this is false, he didn't kill Master Jacobs, that it was someone else who did it. In fact he idolized Master Jacobs and considers him a master that trained even though that they never met. Travis tries to proves this by saying he went out and a old VHS which had Master Jacobs teaching all of his moves on it. Travis said he watched it so many times that the VHS actually worn out. It is later revealed at the end of the game why Shinobu thought Travis killed Mater Jacobs. In Travis' mind, after Henry revealed himself as Travis' twin brother, and in Shinobu's mind, somewhere before the first rank fight, that Henry was the one who killed Master Jacobs. This all happened after the match. Before their match where Shinobu declare to Travis that she would avenge here father, and to end their match Travis cuts off her right arm below the elbow in the middle of the forearm. Shinobu get a robotic prosthetic replacement sometime before the first ranked match.

Travis' master, Thunder Ryu, taught him his abilities to use wrestling and sword fighting techniques. Thunder Ryu seems to speak using the homosexual innuendo, "You want THAT!" He also sometimes asks Travis to take off his clothes during training. He owns the Thunder Ryu Bldg. which is a gym that Travis comes to in order to workout and train . He ends up dying by the hands of Speed Buster, who is the third ranked assassin, at Speed City in front Travis right before the the third rank fight begins. Travis collects Thunder Ryu's beam katana, the D.O.S., and had Dr. Naomi used it to base the design of the Tsubaki Mk-III. Thunder Ryu Is still at the Thunder Ryu Bldg. as a ghost in order to operate the gym. He also guides Travis through supernatural areas like the Forest of Bewilderment.

Dr. Naomi is a engineer and scientist. Travis gets her to build the various motorcycles, beam katanas, and a giant robot, the Glastanbury, for Travis' exclusive use. She has a slight distaste for otakus and because of that she always acts sour towards Travis.

Randall Lovikov is Travis' teacher. He is always drunk at Santa Destroy' bar plastic model, a bar in Gold Town. Lovikov teaches various moves throughout the fist game. Lovikov loves lovikov ball, toy balls that are red with yellow inscriptions. He is willing to teach Travis his special moves when Travis brings Lovikov lovikov balls. He is killed off in No More Heroes 1.5 by one of Jabber Batt Jr.'s henchmen.

Bishop Shidux is Travis's best friend. He is the owner of the local video store, Beef Head. He seems to have no problem with Travis being an assassin. He always supplies Travis with the best videos and games. He keeps on referring to Travis that "thing that Travis asked for hasn't arrived yet." He is killed be five of Jabber Batt Jr.'s henchmen at the beginning  of No More Heroes 2. His head is then sent to Travis in a paper bag. This event triggers Travis' thirst for revenge. Bishop willed the the pair of beam katanas, the Rose Nasty which was most likely that "thing" Travis asked for.

Travis' whole goal in the game is to become the strongest. He is also know to be nearly penniless all the time. He want to become the strongest he just wants to be the strongest and he wants to be able to kill Jeane. He also wants cash to buy anime and video games. Travis is recruited to the UAA by Sylvia Christel. Sylvia followed Travis to the bar called Bar Plastic Model where Travis proceeded to get plastered and pour his heart out without a care about how he wanted to kill Jeane. Sylvia used this as knowledge  knowing that Travis wanted to become strong and seduced him. She also gave Travis even more incentive that he would have all the money he needed to support his otaku habits. Travis goals in the UAA was to become the strongest and to sleep with Sylvia (which he does after killing Jeane).
